Well, it's much cheaper if we manage to get a domestic tariff, not only because of the kW/h rate but also because of 9% VAT instead of 19%.

I'm the chairman of our complex committee. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ASSOCIATION Account Number = xxxxxxxxxxx It has been brought to my attention that we are on a commercial tariff (10-Commercial ) As we are purely residential with just ten private houses around a communal pool, can we change to your 01-Domestic tariff please?

How do I get my name removed as guarantor for our Communal Electricity account? We changed from our developer to a property Management Company in March this year and the EAC insisted I give my name, as chairperson, as guarantor for the account. I wish to change that.
How do I go about that? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

				Hi WillowTree
To get your name removed, a new chair for your Management Committee will be need to be elected at your next AGM (or earlier). That person will then act as guarantor for the Communal Electricity account.

Thank You Nigel, I've just been re-elected so it looks like I'm stuck with it for a while.
Best Regards.

So is it normal that the head of the committee has to act as a guarantor? Or are there other ways? Seems a little "unfair" that a single owner would have to take full responsibility for communal meters?
