We have a 2-story property with joint title deeds (half in my name half in my wife's name).
We would like to convert downstairs into a self contained dwelling and sell it on.
What is the process to obtain separate title deeds for each dwelling, each in our joint names?
Is it expensive to do?
Amos.

Re: Split title deeds
Good morning Amos and welcome to the forum
I can't say how much this is going to cost.
But you'll need plans drawn up for the conversion and I expect a building permit. Once the work's been completed you'll need to apply for division permit and once that's been issued you can apply to have individual deeds issued.
