Can anyone recommend a good company to manage a complex of 25 units?

Hi

Our developer is pulling out of maintaining our complex in Kato Paphos this year. I am trying to navigate my way through the management committee stuff with little joy and I am also looking for a company who can manage the complex well.

Is there anyone who is prepared to recommend someone in this area? I would like the company to look at what maintenance they feel will be needed, to prepare a specification and also to collect the service charges from the owners - in other words a fully managed service.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Michelle Wood

Hi Michelle

I don't know of any companies in the area - I suggest you ask the question in the general area of the Cyprus Living Forum as it focusses on the Paphos area.

Michelle,

I would look carefully for an independent lawyer, before you appoint a management company.

You will almost certainly get owners who will not pay common expenses, and expect everyone else to foot the bill.

At that point your only option is to take legal action against them. A long drawn out time consuming exercise which may not solve your problem.

I suggest that you do not use the management company lawyer for your needs

Good luck!

Cheers

This is an extremely common problem! The other owners have to make up the shortfall.

The law is in dire need of reform.
