Property Transfer Tax - Value on Sales Contract
Dear Nigel, My 2006 sales contract has CYP 173000 written on it, and I have a receipt from the LR confirming it was lodged by my lawyer. Assuming that one day I might get as far as Title Deeds, will the LR's 'assessed' value, at the 1980 rate, be the one I actually pay tax on? I had many extras paid...

Re: Clubhouse Fixtures & Fittings
Nigel, Thank you for your very prompt and helpful reply. A neighbour and colleague has - like me - refused to pay this additional developer charge - and gone one further: asking his lawyer for a full legal opinion, which I have now read. That Legal Opinion fully backs up what you are saying -which i...

Re: AX Number
Nigel,
Thank you very much indeed. I look forward to getting an AX number...it will mean the winning post is in sight. Might take a few years though!

The developer originally paid for the fixtures and fittings (F&F) - chairs, table...

AX Number
Dear Louise/Nigel,
Can you please explain what an AX number is please - and where it fits into the Title Deeds acquisition cycle? I keep hearing about it but can't find a good explanation. It sounds a 'good' thing to have if you are without title deeds like me! So how do I get one?
Thanks,
Tucano

Re: Swiss Franc Mortgage
Hello Nigel, Have been looking over these questions and answers: I have 2 mortgages - one in Euro (hooray!) the other in Swiss Francs (boo!), taken out when it was pretty good, only to see it plunge dramatically after a fairly good run. Can I have some of your useful tips by e-mail as well please......
