Could you please advise how a non-EU citizen can rent out their properties in Cyprus?

I've heard that it is not possible...but, at the same time, I know that many people are doing this? Do they have special permission for this?
Facts: a non-EU person has permanent residency in Cyprus ...

We are UK citizens.
We own two properties in Tala, which of course we thing is the best area! :lol:
One we rent out long term to a British couple and the other we use for holiday rentals and we have a tourist board license for the latter.
