Re: No Title deeds
As we have no title deeds and the property therefore still belongs to the developer, why is it included in an estate for probate?

No Title deeds
Hypothetically, if the property, paid for in full to the developer, which has not yet been issued with title deeds still belong to the developer?

Selling Up
My husband has just suddenly died. We applied for the title deeds some two years but are still waiting. The house is in both our names, we have UK and Cyprus wills which have been amended by Louise so they reflect UK law. Can I sell without title deeds? If so how?
Many thanks

Lack of Road etc
Am I correct in thinking that if the developer has not completed the road and pavements we have no hope of actually getting out title deeds? We do have mains electricity and water but no land line as we have no road. A new site plan was drawn up some three years ago to show that the former planned h...

Re: Splitting stays between UK & Cyprus
Thanks Nigel for the quick reply, I have had a skim of the document and as with all HMRC document is very convoluted and will need very large glass or two of something to make it understandable!!!!

Splitting stays between UK & Cyprus
Should I decide to stay, for example 6 month in Cyprus and 6 months in UK how will this effect my tax. I am currently registered immigration here and with Cyprus for tax purposes.
Thank you

Title Deeds
How many of the Title Deeds so far issued have gone to developers and not to the occupants of the properties who have paid in full for the houses? Is this what the Troika envisaged happening? It appears that the duped buyers are no better off and the government is fudging the figures to get the next...

Re: Selling our house?
Hi, We want to sell our house in Anarita and would like some advice/tips on the best way to do this. We do not have our Title Deeds, however, three houses on our development have been sold all without their Deeds. Can anyone recommend an Estate Agent? Does anyone know the newspapers ( Cypriot, Russ...

Yet another title deeds query
Thank you for all your previous advice which has been very helpful. We are now told that the revised house plans (amended under the amnesty law and resubmitted), all necessary licenses and permissions have been granted and are now with the local land agency awaiting the final inspection. What can we...

Re: House agents
While Nigel's email was very informative and helpful, of the 15 agents on the list of many, only two has the courtesy to actually respond to either a phone call or e-mail. So I am still desperate for a recommendation of an agent that will actually do some work for the 5% of the sale price they seem ...

House agents
I have a house in the mountains, away from the usual Ex-pat buying area which I want to sell. I know this is not a good time to even contemplate selling but needs must. However I have had no luck finding an agent who deals with the mountain area, let alone one who advertises in local Cypriot papers ...

Beware Scam E-mail
There appears to be an e-mail scam for those of us who are trying to sell and have put the property details on various websites. I received an e-mail supposedly from a US Medical officer serving in Afghanistan ( he is a real person and his identity copied) offering to buy the house unseen. Being of ...
