Hi there.
Can I ask if banks still send out forms for completion, to say whether tax is paid in Cyprus or UK please?
I'm UK based but not received anything and not sure how things are done now.
Thank you.

Immovable property Tax
Hi there.
Can you advise if purchasing a resale property (the owner has the deeds), is immovable property tax based on the purchase price today or is it still 01/01/1980 please?
If it's based on 1980 price ie: below €12,500. which I believe made it exempt, where on a deed would this show please ...

Defence Payments
Hi Nigel.
Just a quick question regarding the payment for Special Contribution for Defence in Cyprus if your able to assist.
I see that there are some changes to tax laws and wondered whether this has affected the above as we've not received the forms we'd complete to say we don't have to pay ...

Registering for Tax/IPT
Thanks Pantheman.
I was going to post a reply as that's what my solicitor emailed saying too.
Another deed question if you don't mind please:
How would one know if deeds issued were clean/free of incumbrances and violations that I've seen written about?
Would a note be on the deed itself (if yes ...

Re: Registering for Tax/IPT
Thank you Nigel.
I've requested the info from my lawyer but can I just ask if there's a particular form/number I'd need to complete at the Tax Office should they hold our Cyprus address please?
Would they only need a passport of proof of ID too?
Regards
Susiecoo.

Registering for Tax/IPT
Morning Nigel.
We have the deeds for our property and I've read that we need to register for Tax/IPT in Paphos.
I understand from my solicitor that we would have received a Tax reference number when she transferred the deeds in to our names and have been told these will be forwarded on to us.
Does ...

IPT & deeds
Hi Nigel.
My partner & I received our deeds earlier this year and EACH deed shows the 1980 value as €10,000.00
Am I correct in thinking that this is the full value of the property as a whole and that each individual share is €5,000.00 - can you clarify please?
Reading your article yesterday, I ...

Morning Nigel.
We have a property, no deeds and currently pay the developer IPT each year.
I was informed that there is this new IPT tax to pay when we were in Cyprus a few weeks back but no-one else on our complex seemed aware of it.

Roof damage
Hi Nigel.
I live in a ground floor apartment on a complex and recently had what I believe to be water damage to the ring beam of my property, due to the staining. More recently the roof above the apartment seems to have had some problems in as much as it appears to be sinking and there are problems ...

Property Tax
Evening to all.
I know you've probably covered this a million times already but over the last few years we have paid €215.00 for both Immovable Property Taxes & Municipality payment; this year it's €360.00, does this seem correct? I can't seem to get a breakdown of the payment and I know that taxes ...
