My Opinion is that once they have repossessed the property, the debt will end there.
Even if you had the title deeds, it would not have made much difference if you were in high arrears.
The liklihood of them chasing you now is remote.

Re: Building Density
Hi All, I have owned a plot in Agia Marina Chrysochous for some years now but not built on it, It was originally given as 6% build but wonder if by any chance the rules have been relaxed at all leaving me an option to apply for 10%? Re: Zone C3 Agricutural Land
Hi David I don't know what you wish to do with your properties on your demise, perhaps leave it to your children in your Will? However, as Brits can no longer own agricultural land there may be a problem if you leave your it to your children (assuming they're British or non-EU citizens.) Regards, N...

Re: Field converted to Building site
Hello everyone. I have done my best to search the forum but unfortunately I was unable to find my answer here: would someone please enlighten me on the procedure required to convert some property with the FIELD type to BUILDING SITE? I was under impression that's not possible. Context: my house fac...

Re: Will I pay VAT when selling multiple properties
Thank you Nigel and Pantheman for your replies. The properties were bequeathed to me by elderly relatives prior to their passing. I paid transfer fees etc, but don't recall paying any VAT. The house is a heritage 'listed' property and the land parcels are zoned residential and touristic, but are pu...

Re: Will I pay VAT when selling multiple properties
Hi All. I own some properties and am now trying to sell these (a house and some parcels of land). I have never sold anything before and do not live in Cyprus, nor am I a citizen. I am concerned that I might need to back-pay VAT on whichever property first sells once a subsequent property sells (par...

Re: Recommendations for Property Management agency
Hi, I am in the process of giving my property back to the bank. It is in Paphos. Our current property management company are withdrawing their services at the end of April. Therefore, I’m looking to replace them. Any recommendations please? Please only recommend someone you have used as I have been...

Re: Zone C3 Agricutural Land
Nigel, Pantherman, Anyone, Could you tell me if agricultural land zone C3 is a protected land zone? The land in question has a registered road running alongside. If it's not a protection zone what are the chances of any kind of building permit? Is it in anyway similat to zone G3? Thank you. David I...

Re: Hunting in Paphos
Hello all, I'd like to know if anyone can provide some areas in Paphos that are non-hunting areas. It seems to me that any village outside the city center has hunters. This makes it impossible for me to consider real estate in some otherwise beautiful areas. Peyia-Kissonerga-Argaka-Chloraka-Tsada a...

Re: Withholding communal fees
2 residents , who have owned property for 25 years on a small development in latchi have withheld thier community fee. The committee, had a new sewage system installed (€12500), and we paid for it.In 2019 during covid the system failed, apparently it flooded! One of the Russian owners and chairman ...

Re: Greek in Canada
Hi Irini and welcome to the forum. I think it would be wise to get a Greek passport. There are four Missions of Greece in Canada that you can find at https://www.mfa.gr/canada/en/about-us.html If you enter Cyprus on a Canadian passport you'll probably get a 90-day stamp in your passport. This will ...
